Ashberry Homes is continuing to build in Bedfordshire, with new homes currently under construction at the housebuilder’s Sycamore Avenue development in Bedford.

Emma Thomson, Sales Manager at Ashberry Homes, said, “Chalk Fields is an attractive development in a highly desirable and well-connected location on the edge of Houghton Regis.

“We have delivered a wide variety of high-quality homes to cater for people at different stages of the property ladder, and the development has proved extremely popular with local buyers.

“Since we launched Chalk Fields in November 2019, there has been a high level of interest, particularly from purchasers looking for a home close to Dunstable town centre and with good road links to the M1.

“Besides the new homes, Chalk Fields has also provided allotments and public open space for new and existing residents. We are now looking forward to completing construction work at the site and welcoming buyers into the final homes at the development later this year.”

Chalk Fields is part of a wider development of 1,850 new homes being built at the northern edge of Houghton Regis. Ashberry Homes and its sister housebuilder Bellway are delivering 253 of the homes, including 165 properties at Bellway’s Brambleside development. The two developers are also providing a joint contribution of £5.4 million towards local services and infrastructure as part of the planning agreement for the new homes.

Contributions are being made to local schools, highways, public transport, bus stop maintenance, and indoor and outdoor sports facilities.
