Free Events at Houghton Regis Leisure Centre in September

This September, Houghton Regis Leisure Centre is hosting a range of free activities for the whole community to enjoy.

The first is an Open Day on Sunday 16th September 2018. There will be various taster exercise classes to get involved with, information and special offers on personal training, membership offers, as well as bouncy castle and arts and crafts to keep the children entertained. It will be a great day out for the whole family to learn more about the facilities available and how they can benefit you.

Following this, UKactive’s National Fitness Day will be taking place on Wednesday 26th September.
Houghton Regis Leisure Centre will again be opening its doors to the public. There will be free passes to use the centre during the day, as well as various fitness challenges. One lucky competition winner will win a months membership!

On Friday 28th September 2018 Houghton Regis Leisure Centre will be participating in Macmillan Cancer Support’s ‘The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’. The event will be running 9am – 12pm and doors will be open for all to come and pick up a delicious treat! Any donations of cakes would be appreciated with all money received going to the charity.

Lastly, Saturday 29th September brings Health Action Day to the centre.

This is a free event for anyone looking to improve their health, wellbeing and physical activity levels but who may need guidance or professional help to ensure that they receive the best advice. As well as advice from health professionals and voluntary groups, there will be activities for the whole family to take part in as well as free health tests for all.

This event is for all ages, from toddlers with bouncy castles and arts and crafts available to keep them entertained, through to seniors, with a whole host of information available on increasing activity levels.

Tony Stratton, Centre Manager of Houghton Regis Leisure Centre, said: “September is such an exciting month for us this year. We have three great, free events that people of all ages can get involved with.”
