Words That Describe Luton: Diverse, Dirty, Multicultural, Busy, Dangerous

Luton Borough Council have published the results of a Perceptions of Luton survey. Based on feedback of less than 1,000 people in 2013, 71% of whom said they lived in Luton. 

The key themes describing Luton included: 
  • Diversity/multi culturalism
  • Busy/crowded/overcrowded
  • Dirty
  • Dangerous/unsafe.

About 40% of people had negative feelings about the town, but people had good things to say too,

Main responses that would promote a positive image for Luton include, "Clean up Luton", "Reduce crime", "better public relations".
