Its focus will be on food, with menu sections for Italian, Indian, British, American and Tex Mex. There will also be a range of alcoholic drinks, with focus on wines and including real ales, on draught and in bottles as well as soft drinks.

Kishor said: “The brand new team of chefs and front of house staff are excited at the prospect of opening as am I. It has taken three years of frustrations and setbacks to get to this point so we are now raring to go!”

In the run-up to the grand opening, the bar-restaurant has been organising a series of free tasting sessions for local people.

“We are projecting that this new business will bring a huge boost to the local economy,” said Kishor, who is well known locally for building up two Nisa Local convenience stores in Houghton Regis. “As well as the new jobs giving people spending power we will be buying locally wherever possible, too.”
