Cheering Volunteering Awards 2015

To say thank you to the thousands of people in Central Bedfordshire who regularly and freely give their time to help others, Central Bedfordshire Together is hosting the first Cheering Volunteering celebration awards event on Tuesday 2 June at the Grove Theatre, Dunstable from 6.30pm - 9.00pm.


The awards will be divided into six categories:



  • Young Volunteer of the Year
  • Volunteer of the Year
  • Lifetime Achievement Award
  • Unsung Hero of the Year
  • Fundraiser of the Year
  • Outstanding Contribution to Volunteering Award

There will also be a Panel's Choice Award, selected from all nominations received. You can find out more detailed information about the Award categories and the nomination criteria here (PDF 14KB).

Nominating an individual, group or organisation for one of the Cheering Volunteering Awards is easy.

You can simply fill in and submit the online nomination form.

Simply download and complete the nomination form (PDF 30KB), telling us in about 200 words why the person you're nominating deserves to win an award.*

If you prefer, you can also just send us an email to  telling us about the person or organisation you'd like to nominate.  Please make sure you tell us your name and how we can contact you, the name and contact details of the person you're nominating, and which category you'd like to nominate them for.

Shortlisted nominees will be notified either by post or email and invited to the awards ceremony on 2 June at the Grove Theatre from 6.30m - 9.00pm.

The event is also free for members of the public to attend - please see the tab below 'How do I book tickets to the Awards?' for booking details. A ticket is required for all attending the event.


The closing date for all nominations is 26 April 2015.
