Swiss Garden at Biggleswade, Now restored and Reopened After £2.8m Help from Heritage Lottery Fund

Swiss Garden, the Grade II* listed garden in Old Warden Park, west Biggleswade, has reopened to the public following a major restoration project.

The repairs were made possible thanks to a £2.8 million Heritage Lottery Fund grant and a £275,000 investment by Central Bedfordshire Council, as well as smaller grants and public donations.

Work to restore the garden took more than 14 months to complete and included repairs to the ornamental structures of the Swiss Cottage, the Indian Kiosk and the Grotto and Fernery, ironwork bridges and arches, marble memorial tablets, stone and metal urns.

How to get there: Google Map Directions from Houghton Regis  (20 miles, 30 mins)

Adult Entry to Gardens £8 on non-event days, children free.
