Council's £350k Energy Savings

CBC has reduced its carbon footprint by 17 in just one year, according to its latest Green House Gas report.

This CO2 saving equates to a total reduction in energy bills of just over £100,000, and a reduction in school energy costs in the region of £250,000.

Central Bedfordshire Council's Climate Change Strategy aims to reduce its carbon footprint by 35% by 2016.

Solar panels, new lighting schemes and boiler controls have been installed in its officesAutomated metering systems are better regulating the energy, and schools have had advice on how to better manage their energy use.
