New Housing Allocations Policy for Central Bedfordshire This Summer
This summer, Central Bedfordshire Council are introducing a new scheme to allocate social housing that they say will be simpler to understand. The scheme will favour those working, over non-working families; hold a separate register for over 50s; and low paid workers in private rented accommodation will be able to join the register.
But those with assets over £23,250; or those with enough to income to buy in their own right; those without a local connection; and those without a housing need will not be able to join the register.
