More Bollards For Village Green

Councillors at Houghton Regis' Environment & Leisure Committee have agreed expenditure on bollards for the western side of Red House Court from Clarke's Way to Houghton Hall.

The bollards will be similar to those placed around the main green. It is hoped that the small bollards will help to prevent incursions onto the public amenity green by travellers.

A contribution to the bollards will be made by Chamberlain Holdings, who currently own Houghton Hall. The remaining cost of the project, put at almost £5,000, will be met from the Town Council's fencing reserve fund.
