EU ELECTIONS CANDIDATES AND PARTIES - STILL A FEW DAYS LEFT TO REGISTER YOUR VOTE!

European Parliamentary Elections take place on Thursday 22nd May.

Seven seats are available for the region, and these will be distributed in proportion to the number of votes each block of candidates gets, so even if you normally support a minority party, they still stand a chance of having an MEP elected.

At the moment, the MEPS in the East of England constituency are:

Andrew Duff (Liberal Democrat)

Geoffrey van Orden (Conservative)

Robert Sturdy (Conservative)

Vicky Ford (Conservative)

David Campbell Bannerman (was UKIP 2009–11, now Conservative)

Stuart Agnew (UKIP)

Richard Howitt (Labour)

Poll cards and postal Information cards have been sent to electors entitled to vote in the election.

Here's a list of Eastern Region candidates: http://www.europarl.org.uk/resource/static/files/european_elections/eastern.pdf

If you are not already registered for a postal vote and you want to apply to vote by post the last date to register for the European Election is 6 May 2014.

Postal Vote application forms for people living in Central Bedfordshire can be downloaded from http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/Images/CBC%20Voter%20registration%20form%202014_tcm6-53724.pdf#False
