Sport Relief Community Cash Grants

Sport Relief is offering Community Cash grants after a break of a year.

The funding programme is administered locally by community foundations across the UK in partnership with local newspapers. Small local voluntary and community groups that are doing great work to help local people living tough lives in England, Wales and Northern Ireland can apply now or as soon as their local community foundation launches the grants programme for 2014.

Constituted voluntary organisations and community groups, registered charities, co-operatives, faith organisations, community interest companies and social enterprises are eligible as long as they are working in a disadvantaged or deprived area within their specified area, are run by local people, and have an income of less than £100,000 (or in some cases less then £50,000).

The deadline for most applications is Tuesday 4 March 2014 although some areas, such as Greater Manchester and Wales, have a February deadline or in the case of Birmingham and the Black Country a later deadline. Interested groups should contact their local community foundation for further information, on how to apply and the closing date for applications. A map with all the local community foundations can be found on the Community Foundation Network website
